Overview

GLOVent is a company with an entrepreneurial spirit. We value our relationships with our clients, partners, suppliers and employees, and we aim to make a positive impact on all the lives touched by our organisation.

The business started in 2006 when four entrepreneurs saw the need for more effective management and communication in residential estates. Through partnerships a CMS (Community Management System) was developed, now known as GLOPortal. Our first client  was The Wilds, a residential estate situated in Pretoria East who went live with GLOPortal in January 2007.

The Wilds is still a client, using our now much enhanced GLOPortal CMS as well as other value-added products and services. More than 650 other communities (residential and other) have also since joined the GLOVent family. We’re proud to say the we’re now enhancing the lives of families living in more than 85,000 homes throughout South Africa and abroad.

GLOVent’s focus is to deliver exceptional value to communities through innovative solutions.

Communities include any group of individuals with a common purpose, managed by a central body. These are for example schools, churches, sport clubs, residential groups (estates, complexes, gated areas) and many more. Although multiple communities are currently using GLOVent’s solutions, the main focus is currently on residential communities like estates and sectional title schemes.

Through our product range we aim to develop a variety of products and services that ultimately enhances the lives of our community members. Technology and innovation forms the basis of our product and solution development.

Offering fair value products and services. We believe in offering fair-value solutions that result in long-term relationships with our clients.

With a client base of more than 650 communities, of which most are high-end residential estates, GLOVent has a direct communication and product/service delivery channel to more than 85,000 hyper-localised, high-net-worth families.

Residential Communities using the GLOVent GLOPortal CMS include leading estates in South Africa and Mauritius, like Fancourt; Thesen Islands; Pinnacle Point; Leopard Creek; White River Country Estate; De Zalze, Eagle Canyon; Fourways Gardens; Dainfern Valley; Silver Lakes; Mooikloof; Woodhill; Cornwall Hill; Pecanwood; Brettenwood; Princes Grant; Villas Valriche and many more.

GLOVent’s client base is currently growing with an average of three new communities per month. This results in an average of 500 new high-end, hyper-localised members becoming part of the GLOVent member base every month.

GLOVent’s direct channel – through its products and services – to the large member base places the company in a leading position to offer a range of value added products and services to its members and their management committees.

Adriaan (Chief Executive Officer) and Richard (Chief Technical Officer) are executive board members, involved in the day-to-day management of the company. The balance of the board (Tinus, Gareth and Ted) represents the majority shareholder – Digitata.

Clients

GLOVent’s clients consists mostly of residential communities (estates and sectional title complexes). The balance, about 10%, consists of other communities like golf clubs, office parks, schools and other.

GLOVent’s client base is currently growing with an average of three new communities per month. This results in approximately 500 new members becoming part of the GLOVent member base every month.
